Priceless Rentals Terms: Please Read Carefully

Please note that the following Rental Terms specifically apply to bookings made exclusively through our website (pricelessrental.co.uk). For bookings made with Priceless Rentals through alternative websites, kindly refer to their respective terms and conditions or consult your rental voucher for details.

  1. English law applies to this and any disputes in relation to this agreement.
  2. The Hirer is the company or driver specified in box 1 overleaf or (if that is left vacant) the person named in box 1. The Hirer shall be bound by the following terms and conditions which incorporate the details shown in the Agreement.
  3. The Hirer shall not (i) grant any form of security or other encumbrance in respect of the vehicle or (ii) enter into a transaction or series of transactions (whether voluntary or involuntary) to sell, lease, transfer, or otherwise dispose of the vehicle.
  4. If the Hirer has indicated on the Rental Agreement that he wishes the Lessor (namely the company specified as such on the Agreement) to provide insurance, then the following provisions will apply
    • This agreement is subject to and is deemed to include the terms, conditions, and limitations of the Lessor’s insurance policy a copy of which may be inspected at the Lessor’s office
    • Any vehicle hired under this agreement may only be driven by the hirer or by any additional authorized drivers who have had a completed insurance proposal form accepted by the Lessor.
    • The Hirer agrees to pay the insurance charges on the Lessor’s current tariff, plus the waiver charge for reducing or removing the insurance excess as initial, and the excess as shown overleaf.
    • Even though it may be covered by the Lessor’s own insurance the Hirer shall be liable to pay the cost of repair of any damage which the vehicle may suffer as the result of the wilful action of the Hirer or any servant or agent of the hire.
    • The Hirer will compensate the Lessor for any loss (whether direct indirect or consequential) which it may suffer as a result of any act or omission on the part of the Hirer or his servant or agent.
  5. If the Hirer has indicated on the Rental Agreement that he wishes to provide his own insurance, then the following provisions shall apply: –
    • The Hirer’s responsibility shall be to ensure the vehicle until it is returned to Lessor in its full value against loss or damage (including windscreen damage) by accident, fire or theft by a comprehensive policy of insurance with an insurance office of repute. The Hirer shall, at the Lessor’s request, ensure the Lessor’s name shall be endorsed on the policy.
    • The Hirer shall not use or permit the vehicle to be used in contravention of the terms and conditions of the policy and shall procure that any compensation under the said insurance is paid directly to the Lessor.
    • If the Hirer shall effect insurance which is not comprehensive or if for any other reason, the amount paid by the Hirer’s insurers to the Hirer or the Lessor shall be less than the loss or damage (whether direct, indirect or consequential) suffered by the Lessor then the Hirer shall pay the Lessor the difference.
  6. Where this agreement has been signed by a person on behalf of the Hirer, he warrants that he is authorized to sign for the Hirer and is jointly and is severally liable to the Hirer under this agreement.
  7. Neither the Hirer not any servant or agent of the hirer, nor any authorized driver is or may hold himself out to be an agent of the Lessor.
  8. The rental period under this agreement shall be from the Hire start date shown in the Agreement until the hire due to end date.
    • The Hirer may for any reason terminate this agreement before the hire due to the end date, or
    • The Lessor shall for any reason call for the return of the vehicle before the hire due to the end date. In any of which events the hirer shall forthwith return the vehicle, provided that the Hirer shall not be liable for any charges in relation to any period after the vehicle has been returned pursuant to the agreement. The total rental period shall not in any event exceed 90 days.
  9. It is a breach of this agreement for the Hirer to fail to return the vehicle to the Lessor at the end of the rental period or following the request of the Hirer and the damages payable for such breach (in addition to any other damages payable) will be the charges which would have been payable on the Lessor’s current tariff for the period until the Lessor recovers the vehicle or receives the full value thereof. The terms of this clause 7 shall not be deemed to extend the rental period beyond 90 days.
  10. The Lessor is not liable for the loss of or damage to any property stored are transported in are on the vehicle when it returns to the Lessor’s possession. The Hirer will indemnity the Lessor against any claims relating to any such property.
  11. The vehicle will not: –
    • Without the Lessor’s prior written consent, be taken outside the territory comprising England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and any British Isle on which the hiring commenced.
    • Without the Lessor’s prior written consent, be used to propel are tow any other vehicle our trailer.
    • Be used for any unlawful purpose or for the carriage of passengers for hire or reward or for driving tuition unless the hirer shall have obtained the Lessor’s prior written consent and shall in condition have provided his own insurance in accordance with clause 5.
    • Be driven in a manner which would render void the policy or the other contract of insurance or in contravention of any road Traffic legislation or any other laws, or by any person who is not licenced to drive the vehicle or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, nor must it be driven in the event of mechanical, electrical or structural failure of damage, if further damage might thereby be caused.
    • Be altered or added to in any manner.
  12. The Hirer is not authorised to effect any repairs to the vehicle costing more £25.00 without the Lessor’s prior consent. Save to the extent that there may be an excess on the Lessor’s insurance which the Hirer is obliged to pay, the Lessor will refund to the Hirer the cost of necessary repairs not exceeding £25.00 (for more if the Lessor’s consent had been obtained) on the production of a VAT receipt and any parts replaced.
  13. If the Hirer commits any breach of this agreement, that the Lessor may treat the agreement as terminated and take possession of the vehicle, and the Hirer authorizes the Lessor to enter upon his property for such purpose.
  14. The hirer shall be liable as owner of the vehicle in respect of: –
    • Any fixed penalty offences committed in respect of that vehicle under part III of the road Traffic Offenders Act 1988 or the road Traffic act 1991 as amended replaced or extended by any subsequent legislation or orders, and any such offence committed under the equivalent legislation applicable to Scotland, Northern Ireland or any British Isle upon which the vehicle is being used.
    • Any parking charges that may be incurred with respect to parking or private property and issued by a private parking company.
  15. The Hirer is obliged: –
    • To pay on the Lessor’s current Tariff for the rental and fuel, to pay for any accessories, tyres, tools or equipment lost, stolen or damaged; to pay the Lessor’s cost of recovering the vehicle in the even  that the Hirer fails to return it to the Lessor in accordance with clause
    • To pay any penalties, fines and court costs incurred in the use of the vehicle before it is returned to the Lessor and which the Lessor is obliged to pay (save when caused by the fault of the Lessor).
    • To safeguard the Lessor’s interests in the event of any accident involving the vehicle, by obtaining the names and addresses of all relevant drivers and witnesses, securing the vehicle and where appropriate notifying the police.
    • To ensure that the correct tyre pressures, engine oil level, battery fluid level screen wash levels; coolant levels and automatic transmission oil level (where fitted) are maintained throughout the period of rental.
    • To ensure that the vehicle is always locked when unattended and to take all reasonable steps to prevent loss of or damage to the vehicle or the tyres tools accessories equipment or contents.
    • To inform the Lessor immediately if the vehicle suffers any damage or loss, develops any fault or requires any servicing, and permit the Lessor to carry out any essential repairs or servicing.
    • To return the vehicle (together with all its accessories , tyres, tools and equipment during the Lessor’s business hours to a representative of the Lessor  and to the place from which the vehicle was hired unless a different place is specified overleaf at or before the end of the rental period or on the earlier termination of the agreement, in the condition prevailing at the commencement of the rental (fair wear and tear expected), clean and tidy (traffic grime excepted).
    • Upon termination of the hire, vehicles should be left in a safe and secure position that conforms to parking regulations. Keys should be kept securely but accessible to the staff for collection at the earliest possible opportunity. The vehicle remains the responsibility and is subject to the customers insurance cover.
  16. Hirer will be responsible if the vehicle is involved in any type of vandalism damage/negligence of any kind to the vehicle, this will not be covered under any excess protection cover.
    • Hirer’s are responsible for any damage to over carriage and under carriage regardless even if they have paid for full excess protection cover.
    • Loss of keys will not be covered under any coverage.
    • Loss damage theft to the radio stereo equipment and aerials are not covered under any protection.
    • Recovery and storage charges are not covered under any coverage.
  17. The Lessor is obliged: –
    • To take reasonable steps to provide the Hirer with a well maintained vehicle but shall not be liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss caused by any breach of this or, any other obligation of the Lessor hereunder.
    • When informed of a breakdown by the Hirer, to see that the necessary repairs are carried out promptly.
    • If repairs to the hired vehicle cannot be carried out promptly, to provide a substitute vehicle.
  18. The Hirer acknowledges: –
    • That this Agreement is not assignable by him.
    • That this document (together with any agreed attachment hereto) contains the entire understanding between the parties and that no addition to or alteration of the terms shall be valid unless made in writing and signed by a duly authorised offer of the Lessor.
    • That he is not entering into this Agreement on the basis and any warranty or representation by the Lessor.
    • That failure by the Lessor to enforce any term of this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of the Agreement.
    • The Hirers details may be passed to a third party in the event of a road traffic accident, criminal activity in the vehicle or other vehicles under this agreement parking contravention and other road traffic offences.
  19. No monies will be refunded in the event of cancellation once a booking has been made and paid for.
  20. An administration fee of £55.00 will be applied to all motoring offences received including but not limited to parking charges, toll charges and private company fines.
  21. An administration fee of £75.00 will be charged for any damage to the vehicle. This is in addition to the cost of the repair up to the excess amount.
  22. Customers’ cars are left on the Lessor’s property at the customers’ own risk. The Lessor will have no responsibility whatsoever over any car left on the premises.
  23. The Hirer’s details will be passed to the relevant local authority or parking management company in relation to any penalty charge notices (PCN) for the local authority to pursue the Hirer for the penalty fine and/or penalty points if the application to transfer the penalty to the Hirer rejected, the Lessor will pay the fine on the Hirer’s behalf and recharge the penalty fine to the Hirer. These charges are in addition to the Lessor’s administration fee.
  24. I hereby agree to have details placed upon an authorization form for any additional charges that may result from:-
    • Extension to rental period and late charges after 30 minutes (1 Day Rate + any added extras’ e.g., GPS)
    • Insurance excess value as per rental agreement.
    • Traffic offences. An Administration charge of £55 pounds per parking offence plus Penalty Charge (where necessary), any penalty charges for speeding/road traffic offences (including bus lane offences & London congestion charges) and any other traffic infringement charges.
    • Loss of keys (charged at cost) plus administration costs.
    • Mileage charges if applicable fuel/admin charges will apply if returned with less fuel than checkout.
    • All damages are liable for £75.00 administration cost charges are made without prior notification. Bank charges are the Hires responsibility.
  25. Very important information what is classed as negligence with priceless rentals

    At Priceless Rentals, we prioritize providing a seamless and enjoyable car hire experience for all our valued customers. However, certain instances of negligence can lead to avoidable complications and risks, which is why we want to make it explicitly clear that such situations are not covered under any of our insurance policies or excess policies. To ensure a hassle-free rental experience, we kindly request our customers to be aware of the following exclusions:

    1. Miss-fuel:
      Negligence resulting from miss-fueling, which refers to the act of putting the wrong fuel into the hire car, is not covered under our insurance policies or excess policies. In such cases, any resulting damages, repairs, or associated costs will be the sole responsibility of the renter.
    2. Misplacement of Hire Car Keys:
      In the event that the hire car keys are misplaced or lost during the rental period, the cost of replacing the keys and any resulting expenses, such as towing, will not be covered by our insurance policies or excess policies. We advise our customers to exercise caution and ensure the safekeeping of the keys throughout the rental period.
    3. Driving under the Influence of Alcohol and Drugs:
      Priceless Rentals strictly prohibits driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Any accidents, damages, or legal consequences arising from negligence in this regard will not be covered by our insurance policies or excess policies. We urge our customers to prioritize safety and never drive while impaired.
    4. Leaving Valuables on Display or in the Hire Vehicle in Case of Theft:
      To prevent theft and ensure the security of personal belongings, we advise our customers not to leave any valuables on display or unattended inside the hire vehicle. In the unfortunate event of theft, our insurance policies or excess policies will not cover the loss of any personal items left in the vehicle.Our negligence exclusion policy is designed to encourage responsible rental behaviour and safeguard the interests of all parties involved. It is essential for our customers to remain mindful of these exclusions and take necessary precautions to avoid any potential risks. Should you have any questions or require further clarification regarding our negligence exclusion policy, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support team.

  1. Booking Procedure

    • Our booking reservation system provides real-time availability, and your reservation will be confirmed instantly. We have a user-friendly booking process that allows you to reserve your vehicle effortlessly.
    • Choose your pick-up and drop-off, and select the desired dates and times. You will be presented with available car options that you can book right away. You can filter the results by cover type (standard CDW or insurance excess waiver) and transmission type (manual or automatic).
    • Next to each car option, you will find detailed information by clicking the information icon (i). Prices are displayed as a daily rate and the total reservation amount for easy comparison.
    • Click “Book Now” to choose your desired car option. You will see all the details of your booking, including the chosen car, dates, times, and the total amount of your reservation. Provide your name, your full home address, email, telephone number, and flight details, if applicable.
    • After completing your reservation, you can add extra items such as additional drivers, unlimited miles, GPS navigation, baby seats, etc.…. Then You will receive a confirmation email/voucher with all relevant pick-up information and details.
  2. Payment Methods
    To collect your car, we require a pre-authorization deposit on a credit card in the main driver’s name. Alternatively, you can purchase an excess waiver package with a credit or debit card. Please note that debit card payments require reducing the excess to zero. For more information on our insurance terms, please refer to the section on insurance excess waiver & covers below.

    • Local Hirers:
      Anyone who lives in the UK is classed as a local hirer. With local hirer, you will need a credit card in the main driver’s name for security excess deposit even though you have opted for a super relax package we will still need to hold a security deposit of £200 on your credit card. Most times if you do not own a credit card, we will not be able to process your rental. In some cases, if you do not own a credit card in your name, then we will have to run a credit check on your name you will have to pass a credit check for us to process your rental. You must also agree to and pass a credit check, or you can provide proof of employment which is the last 3 months’ bank statements to show that you are employed   We do not accept cash payments or prepaid cards at Priceless Rentals. We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as UnionPay. Please note that payment cards expiring within 1 month of the end of the rental are not acceptable.
  3. Car Types
    The vehicles displayed on our website represent our most common options in each category. We will provide you with a vehicle of similar size and engine type if the exact make or model is not available. While we strive to offer the vehicle displayed on our website, we cannot guarantee that the make or model will be identical. For a full list of our available rental vehicles, please visit the Our Fleet page on our website.
  4. Cancellation Policy
    Free cancellations apply to online bookings made through the Priceless Rentals website. If you wish to cancel your booking, please visit our Manage My Booking page. You can cancel your Priceless Rentals booking up to 24 hours before the scheduled collection time. Failure to notify us of your cancellation prior to the scheduled collection time or failure to arrive to collect your reserved rental car will result in a charge of up to 3 days of rental. Please note that a free cancellation is no longer valid if you do not meet the “Driver’s Requirements” section outlined below.
  5. Driver’s Requirements
    Driver’s Age: Minimum and Maximum Age of Drivers:
    • 25 to 75 years old. All UK license holders must have held a full license for at least 2 years.
    • Drivers aged 23 and 24 years old and all international license holders must have held their full driving license for a minimum of 2 years.
    • Young drivers are subject to a Young Drivers surcharge of £35 per day. They are allowed to rent cars in the mini to compact size categories (Category A, B, and C).
    • For luxury vehicles and minibuses drivers age must be over the age of 29 years old.
    • Drivers who are below the age of 25 years old will have to refer to our insurance provider.
    • Drivers who are above the age of 75 years old will have to refer to our insurance provider.
    • Local hirers will have to provide their driving license and 2 proofs of address within the last 3 months like a recent bank statement or recent utility bill must be the same address as their driving license also provide us with a DVLA check code to check for any endorsements.
    • Overseas hirers will have to show their driving license, Passport, and boarding pass also some counties will need an international permit to drive on UK roads.

Driving License:
All drivers must present a valid driving license at the time of rental. The license must be in the main driver’s name and held for a minimum of 2 years. International drivers must provide a valid passport in addition to their driving license.

 

Additional Drivers:
Additional drivers can be added to the rental contract for an additional fee. All additional drivers must meet the same age and license requirements as the main driver and present their driving license at the time of rental.

  1. Insurance Excess Waiver & Covers All rentals with Priceless Rentals include standard CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance, which reduces the driver’s liability in case of damage to the rental vehicle. The excess amount varies depending on the vehicle
    • Standard cars excess is £1500.00
    • Luxury cars excess is £1950
    • People carriers up to 7 seats £1950
    • Minibusses up to 9 seats £2500

To further reduce the excess amount, you have the option to purchase an excess waiver package. This package covers damage to the rental vehicle and reduces the excess amount to zero. The excess waiver package can be purchased during the booking process or at the rental desk. Please note that the excess waiver package does not cover damage caused by negligence, vandalism, off-road driving, or violation of the rental agreement terms. It also does not cover personal belongings, personal injury, or damage to third-party property. For a complete understanding of the insurance terms and conditions, please refer to the rental agreement and insurance policy provided at the rental location.

  1. Fuel Policy
    At Priceless Rentals, we operate on a fair fuel policy which is level to level and we do not hold any fuel deposit, and it is your responsibility to return it with the same fuel level. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, you will be charged for the missing fuel at the local pump price, along with a refueling service fee.
  2. Mileage Policy
    Our rentals include 100 miles per day unless you have opted for unlimited miles. The excess mileage charge is 0.30pence per mile. Rentals over 30 days have a limit of 100 miles per day. If you are renting for over 30 days, we are unable to allow you to have free miles.  Please check with our Customer Service Team or refer to the rental agreement for more information.
  3. Roadside Assistance
    Priceless Rentals provides 24/7 roadside assistance for any mechanical issues or breakdowns during the rental period. In case of an emergency, please contact the emergency number provided in your rental agreement or on your rental vehicle. Our dedicated team will assist you and arrange for necessary repairs or a replacement vehicle if needed.
  4. Privacy Policy
    At Priceless Rentals, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. We collect and process your data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. For more details on how we handle your information, please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website.
  5. Reservation and Cancellation Policy

    To make a reservation with Priceless Rentals, you can book online through our website, or contact our Customer Service Team. When making a reservation, you will need to provide your personal information, rental dates, location, and payment details. Cancellation policies may vary depending on the rental location and the type of reservation. Generally, you can cancel your reservation free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time. However, cancellations made after the specified period or no-shows may be subject to a cancellation fee. The specific cancellation policy applicable to your reservation will be stated during the booking process and provided in the confirmation email.
  6. Optional Extras
     Priceless Rentals offers a range of optional extras to enhance your rental experience. These extras may include GPS navigation systems, child seats, additional insurance coverage, and more. You can select and add these extras during the booking process or request them at the rental location, subject to availability. Additional fees may apply for these optional extras.
  7. Payment Methods
    Priceless Rentals accepts major credit cards for the excess deposits we cannot use debit cards for preauthorization deposits.   If you are making a payment for your rental, you can use a debit card. We accept  Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover, for rental payments. Debit cards may be accepted at select locations, subject to certain conditions and restrictions. Cash payments and personal checks are generally not accepted. The credit card used for payment must be in the main driver’s name.
  8. Age Restrictions
    The minimum age requirement for renting a vehicle with Priceless Rentals varies by country and vehicle category. Generally, the minimum age is 25 years old. However, additional surcharges and restrictions may apply to drivers under 25 years old or over 75 years old. The specific age requirements and applicable fees will be displayed during the booking process.
  9. Special Requests
    If you have any special requests, such as specific vehicle preferences or additional accommodations, you can make a note of them during the booking process or contact our Customer Service Team. While we strive to accommodate special requests, they are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
  10. Customer Support
    Priceless Rentals is dedicated to providing excellent customer support. If you have any questions, or concerns, or need assistance before, during, or after your rental, you can contact our Customer Service Team. We have a dedicated helpline available from 5 am until midnight 7 days a week to assist you with any inquiries or issues you may have.
  11. Car PickupVehicle Inspection and Documentation:

    Upon picking up the rental car, the customer is required to thoroughly inspect the vehicle’s exterior and interior. We recommend taking photos and videos of the car from various angles, highlighting any pre-existing damages or issues. It is important to document the condition of the vehicle accurately to avoid any misunderstandings or disputes later.

    Pre-Rental Walkaround:
    Before driving off, the customer should conduct a pre-rental walkaround to ensure that the car is clean, well-maintained, and in working order. This includes checking the cleanliness of the vehicle’s interior, the functionality of essential features (such as lights, indicators, air conditioning, etc.), and confirming that there are no visible damages or issues not previously documented.

  12. Car Drop-off: Return in Acceptable Condition:When returning the rental car, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is returned in an acceptable condition. This includes removing any personal belongings, trash, and excessive dirt from the car’s interior. The exterior should also be reasonably clean, free from excessive dirt, and without any new damages beyond normal wear and tear.

    Valet Fee:
    If the rental car is returned in an unacceptable condition, such as excessive dirtiness or damages beyond normal wear and tear, a valet fee of £90 will be charged to the customer. It is essential to return the car in the same condition as it was received to avoid incurring additional charges.

  13. No Smoking in Car: Non-Smoking Policy:
    We strictly enforce a no-smoking policy in all our rental cars. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes or vaping devices, is strictly prohibited inside the vehicle at all times. This policy is in place to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all our customers, as well as to maintain the cleanliness and freshness of our cars.
    Health and Safety:
    Smoking in a confined space like a car can pose serious health and safety risks, especially for non-smokers and children. We prioritize the safety and health of our customers, and we kindly request that all passengers refrain from smoking during the entire duration of the rental period.

    Cleaning and Restoration Fee:
    In the event that smoking occurs inside the rental car, a thorough cleaning and restoration process is required to eliminate the smoke odor and residue. Therefore, if evidence of smoking is found in the vehicle upon its return, a cleaning and restoration fee of smoking fee £350 will be charged to the customer. This fee covers the cost of professional cleaning, deodorizing, and restoring the car to its original smoke-free condition.

    Consideration for Others:
    We appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all our customers in respecting the no-smoking policy. By refraining from smoking inside the rental car, you contribute to the comfort and safety of future customers who may have allergies, sensitivities, or personal preferences regarding smoke exposure.
